My friend Lesley Hallett and I visited the Nordic Visitor Office in Reykjavik after our tour and were delighted to meet some of the staff. We recorded a short video of some of our immediate reactions to the tour.
This was the first time I have used a travel company to plan and book our vacation. The process was very easy. It was well worth it. Our travel consultant, Helga G. The itinerary was detailed and made it very easy for us to plan our day.
The Welcome packet we received provided excellent information about various attractions. The highlighted map that was provided was very handy in helping us find our way and manage our time. Even the people that transported us from the hotel to the airport were prompt and friendly. I never felt I had to worry about something going wrong with the travel plans. A year ago, we had used Nordic to book a trip to Iceland. We enjoyed our travels in the country so much and had such an outstanding experience with Nordic that we used them again this year to book a trip to visit part of the country that we didn't see last year.
We're already thinking of a return trip for next year--and will, of course, use Nordic again. We thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed our guide's knowledge and expertise. Brian was extremely informative, patient, and entertaining. He was very considerate of the fact that we were 2 active but older women. He was also very kind to other travellers who realized he was a guide and would stop him to ask advice. Although this was to be my only trip to Scotland, thanks to his influence and fascinating instruction on the Highlands and Highlanders, I know I need to see more.
I would let Nordic Visitor give more advice on the tour must sees.
We met with the Edinburgh office staff - Maria, Anna, and Kris - after our tour was done, again Brian going above and beyond to bring us to meet them, days after our tour was over.
I cannot say enough good things about all the help they gave us. Even though we did not have the opportunity to meet with Helga in person we felt extremely well looked after by all her hard work and planning before and during the trip, and would completely recommend her and the Nordic Visitor team, you are all wonderful.
We would have loved to drop by the office to tell you in person how much fun we were having but we squeezed in extra activities so didn't end up having time to do so.
We had asked for a tailored trip which was a day longer than the tour on the website, and Helga organised this effortlessly. We also requested a combination of comfort and superior rooms and again she organised this with no trouble.
The comfort rooms were pretty nice to stay in, occasionally having hot-tubs outside and always delicious food at their restaurants. The superior rooms we stayed at were incredibly memorable and really completed our honeymoon experience.
It was the most fantastic honeymoon we could have imagined, thank you so much for organising it for us. We travelled as a family of two adults and one child and organised our combined tours 'Tale of Four cities' Scandinavian capitals and 'Iceland Full Circle' from afar totally online. The online experience went extremely smoothly. Our consultant, Sirry, was very helpful and responsive. She communicated well and with his prior to our arrival and when we arrived at our first destination everything was well arranged and ran very smoothly - the transfers, the hotels, the ferries, the car hire.
The comprehensive package of maps, brochures and information books provided was a fabulous resource. GPS was included in our hire cars and this was essential. We also had access to a mobile phone that was provided and this was very comforting in case there were any problems.
We did not use it as there were no issues that needed resolution during our combined tours. As a family of three we had an absolutely fantastic time travelling through Scandinavia and Iceland.Earlier this year, Lou was listed among the sixteen most tech savvy senior executives in the marketing and advertising industry by AdWeek, which also named Lou as one of the 50 most indispensable executives in Advertising.

We got very lucky with the car being upgraded for free as this made a massive difference to our driving comfort. We also got very lucky in that my dive tour of Silfra was private. I was the only diver with 3 dive masters. Overall we had an exceptional trip and were very impressed with Iceland, its culture, its people, its beer and its Geology.
We hope to come back. Thanks Arnar, you did a brilliant job and good luck learning to dive. Once again many thanks. The itinerary and road map provided by Nordic Visitor were perfect. Things to see along the way were clearly marked. Distances between accommodations were perfect, getting us in to each place at a reasonable hour without too much driving time. Iceland is a beautiful country, and considering the time we had to spend there, Nordic's itinerary helped optimize the experience.
It also gave us a good sense for what else we would like to see and do when we visit again. Thanks to Nordic Visitor for doing all the hard work, the planning, arranging of transportation and accommodations, and for routing us through wonderful towns and scenery. Your hard work made our visit all the more enjoyable and safe.
We could have spent much more than that, but this was our experience without feeling we had to be too thrifty. I really wouldn't change a thing for this visit. Our son works in Iceland and we shared this adventure with him. For all of us, this was a great adventure and the best possible way to see some of Iceland in a short period of time, and at a reasonable expense.
We are extremely happy with the Express Iceland package that Nordic Visitor prepared for us.Android news feed app github
We did find that we had to keep a tight schedule in order to visit all of the recommended destinations in the day-to-day itineraries, but that is probably the nature of the express tour. That said, Solveig did a great job preparing our itinerary (as well as marking our map), and all of the recommended destinations we visited were absolutely wonderful. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay in Iceland longer. We can't wait to visit again, and we will surely be using Nordic Visitor again.
Additionally, we will happily recommend Nordic Visitor to our family, friends, and coworkers who are interested in visiting Iceland. The accommodations were excellent and so nice not to have to look for a hotel. The food for breakfast was such a variety and very good. The "self-driving tour was very well planned out for us. The routes which were planned for us were very scenic and gave us a beautiful picture of Norway.
We appreciated the added information in our booklet, ferry schedule, and individual maps of larger cities. Breakfasts at all hotels excellent. Very good variety and quantity at suitable times. Rooms were very clean and of a good size.
Customer service was great. We loved the train travel. Scenery magnificent - waterfalls, mountains, snow, fjords, valleys, Flam railway. Comfort class worth the extra cost. A once in a lifetime trip for us. We will treasure our memories (and photos). Thanks for helping us to achieve a wonderful holiday.
